Alexis is CEO and co-founder of Weaveworks, and was the first chair of the CNCF TOC. He is also known for popularising the terms and practices of GitOps.
Previously, at Pivotal, as head of products for Spring, RabbitMQ, Redis and vFabric, he "rebooted" Spring and transitioned the middleware business from VMware. Alexis co-founded RabbitMQ, and was CEO of the Rabbitco acquired by VMware in 2010. Earlier he co-founded
Cohesive Networks, after a misspent youth in fixed income derivatives trading and mathematical logic. He lives in Oxford with two labradoodles and his family.
